But when I was getting my watch I just could not justify the price tag on Fenix as it was literally 2 times of the Venu2, which was my upper budget limit. And if I do awake in the middle of the night, this is usually pretty spot on in the report.Ī bit gutted as some weeks ago I noticed Fenix 6 pro on sale in the local tech shop for the same price I got my Venu2 earlier. Not sure about the sleep stage accuracy but seems ok. I usually manually edit that time in the morning, by looking at the movement graph or just by recalling what was the time I put my phone down. And my asleep time is always too early in Connect. But in context that makes sense as I usually physically get up shortly after waking but when I go to bed, I tend to lie down and spend an hour on the phone browsing reddit or doing other meaningless stuff. Wake up times are always pretty spot on but asleep times are not. I was also really interested in the sleep tracking. I've had Venu2 for a couple of months now. but hopefully that doesn't apply to the two watch models I am talking about?) (Concerningly that thread devolved into a discussion on why would you even use it when sleep tracking is so bad :(. you are woken up within a set window when you are in light stages of sleep. The Beautyrest is a contactless sleep tracker, using a measuring pad that sits under your mattress instead of a device worn on the wrist. Is the Venu 2 and/or Fenix ok at that? I really don't want to get another fitbit that will break in a year, but sleep tracking is really important to me.įinally, I heard there is 3rd party apps that allow for smart wake - i.e. I thought those two had the same Firstbeat software which is what made it better? Do they have different hardware?įwiw, I am more concerned about accuracy of when I fell asleep and not so much sleep stages. Some seem to be saying that it's ok on Venu 2 and even better on Fenix. I was researching the garmin Vivo 2 and it got me really excited, but I came across semi recent threads saying sleep tracking is awful. I really want to get a new smart watch and had bad experience with fitbit and kind of hate their brand now, Apple and Samsung are too focused on taking over your life imo.
